Matthew being someone very nervous he didn't know how to react to this proposal and started to panic about going. He did not know how he would dress, what he would buy as gifts and especially who there would be on the anniversary. He was so stressed that his mother had to calm him down. After chatting with his mother, Matthew had gained confidence and felt ready to go to the birthday party.
