Bonjour. Je me suis un peu aidé d'internet pour trouver certains mots qui sortent de l'ordinaire ou qu'on a pas l'habitude de voir, en espérant que cela te convienne.

1) a handshake = une poignée de main

To have a good handshake, the palms of the hands must touch.

2) to remonstrate = se plaindre (faire des remontrances)

I didn't like his attitude, I'm going to go see his boss who, I hope, will remonstrate against him.

3) gibberish = charabia

When I was a child, my mother often told me to stop my gibberish.

4) a beggar = un mendiant

I just saw a beggar on the street next to my house, I gave him some money.

5) haughty = hautain

I don't like this person who is very haughty.

6) a bumblebee = un bourdon

I just saw a bumblebee, I was afraid I thought it was a wasp, I am allergic to them.

7) a belly button = un nombril

Did you know that the belly button is the result of the cutting of the umbilical cord ?
