    Bonjour,

    I) We know the poets do not consider English to be "their language", and they are multicultural... as evidenced by the "strange voices in Gujurati... Kurdish... Polish".

    II) The poets "love English" and "want to belong" as they are surrounded in cultural variety and linguistic diversity.

    III)They consider their country of origin and their background to be simultaneously "strange" and "comforting". It is different from English/England, but is comfortable nonetheless.

    VI)The " grapes in my father's yard" evoke a tangible image of the speaker's roots.
